Your Palworld server runs the official dedicated server from Steam. The panel installs and updates it for you; most settings are on the Startup page, and the rest are in PalWorldSettings.ini.

What it needs

Memory 16 GB recommended (Palworld's official figure); 8 GB starts but often crashes. More for 16+ players. Memory use grows the longer it runs, so restart every 6–12 hours. Best practices
Disk About 10 GB for the game, plus saves.
Port Your server's port on Network, over UDP.

First start

  1. Open your server. The first install downloads the game through SteamCMD (several GB), so it takes a few minutes.
  2. Start it. It's ready when the console stops scrolling and shows the server is running. The first start also creates the world.

Settings in the panel (Startup)

Change these on Startup, then Restart. The panel writes them into the game's config every time the server starts.

Setting What it does
Server Name The name in the community server list.
Server Description Short text under the name.
Server Password Leave blank for an open server; set one for friends only.
Admin Password Set this. It's how you become admin in game, and it protects the console's admin commands. Make it long and different from the server password.
Max Players Up to 32.
Connection Platform Steam for Steam players, Xbox for Xbox / Microsoft Store PC players. One platform per server.
Auto Update On: the server updates itself on each start. Keep it on: players can't join a server older than their game.

  1. Start Palworld and choose Join Multiplayer Game.
  2. At the bottom, type your address: gameprod1.crashcrafts.com:<your port> (the port from Network).
  3. Choose Connect, then enter the server password if you set one.
4

Become admin

In game, open chat (Enter) and type:

/AdminPassword yourAdminPassword

You're admin until you leave. Then you can use the admin commands in Palworld settings and admin.
